that’s right, our BLOG:
We love the snow, lets keep this winter going. Get at us fro your next mountain top shoot.
We have been following and posting about F-stop’s ongoing series Life In Focus. Here is a little piece we did a while back showing their bags and how we use them in the backcountry around Whistler.
Have a great weekend everybody, get out there and enjoy the mountains!
Mattias is a talented multi-sport photographer, it makes sense that he uses the best bag that can easily switch with the seasons. Have a look at the latest Life In Focus from our friends at F-stop bags.
Back in December we teamed up with the talented crew at Brain Farm Cinema and produced this spot for Labatts. It was a fun couple days shooting Bears, Boarding & Babes. We utilized the MŌVI for the aerial shots, rounded up the best talent the Sea to Sky has to offer and are more then pleased with the outcome. You might have seen the spot air already during the super bowl, but here are a couple of the behind the scenes photos from the talented Jussi Grznar.
We had a banner year here at Whistler Creek Productions and just want to send out a huge Thank -You to all our clients, partners and colleagues. Our projects this year were varied to say the least, which is one of the reasons we love doing what we do. We put Still shoots together for Aritzia & Pottery Barn as well as Oakley which included wrangling a 1600 pound grizzly bear named Barney. We ran a mini series with Sportsnet & Banff Ice Vodka highlighting some of Canada’s Top Snow Athletes. We were privileged to be part of F-stop’s on going series Life In Focus. Ended up on National Geographic’s Page for our Cineflex Piece highlighting a fall day in Squamish. Produced a backcountry segment for Disney for their Made For TV Movie Cloud 9, and spent a couple glorious days with Arcteryx in their studios producing new content. During August we produced a five day shoot for Microsofts newest brainchild Yammer where we pulled off winter in one of the nicest summers the Sea to Sky has ever seen. Our personal passion project on 10 year old Seth Sherlock the mountain bike mad man hit 300 k views and is still growing, as well it is currently a Finalist In The VIFF. To wrap up the year we helped produce a Labatt commercial on both the snow and ATV’s while utilizing our newest toy the MŌVI. We have used the MŌVI on numerous shoots now and are finding it an affordable solution for stabilized aerial shots, in fact Shin is in Africa right now testing its limits there. We have also added a couple new team members Paul Watt who is as talented behind the lens as he is at teching out all our gear and photographer Mark Gribbon who can wrangle camping for 25 people on a glacier and still get the shot while doing it.
Thanks again everybody for working with us in 2013.
We really love what we do and hope to be doing you soon!
We are so excited that the little piece we put together on mad man Seth Sherlock with The Art Barn made it into the Vancouver International Film Festival Finalist category. They are still working out when all the films will play but check back here for a chance to see it in the big screen.
